ManStyle exhibition at NGV

I went to the ManStyle exhibition at the NGV the other day. It's a only a small exhibition, but worth popping in to have a look if you're around there, oh and it's free. It shows clothes from the 18th century up to now and my favourite part is that all of them were somewhat out of the norm. Whether it was the print, or materials used, or just the overall shape, they're all unique stand out pieces. This shirt was my absolute fave, and men's or not, I want it! xx

ruttituttifrutti:

These fur jackets are amazing. I love the range of colours and shades in them. It's a fresh change from all the monotoned fur flooding the stores at the moment.

"I don't know why I love the things I love, but I love that I don't know. I love that I have a primitive connection to the things that give me pleasure."

grace coddington, the september issue

I loved Grace Coddington in the September Issue. In fact I just love Grace Coddington. She does an extraordinary job as the Creative Director of American Vogue, as you can see just by looking at the end result of some of the shoots she directed for the September Issue. But while she has one of most wanted jobs in the industry she carries on doing it with such a humble approach always remembering where she came from. I find her so inspiring, and love how in the documentary she's the only one willing to stand up to Anna Wintour, who is of course someone else I very much look up to.

A couple of the shoots she did from The September Issue

Last but not least, two models posing as Grace and Anna, this made me giggle because their expressions are so accurate.

Possibly the coolest outfit I've seen on a kid. I asked his dad's permission to take his picture, but I forgot to mention it was for a blog, hence the blurred face. I love the crazy amount of colours, textures, and patterns in this outfit, finished off with a pair of rubber clogs. I was anti rubber clogs until now, and although I don't plan to start rockin a pair anytime soon I might go get my 1 yr old nephew a pair. I'm bought!
